In addition to @Fiat Lux - ASIA answer, we have several options for making a copy of the company file available to you. You can utilize the Back up company feature in QuickBooks Online Advanced (QBO) or use a third-party application that works with the program.
I’m here to help provide some information on how the utility works in the Advanced version. When you activate the Online Back-up & Restore app, QBO will automatically back up your data.
Once completed, it will track any changes made to your company file. Aside from that, you can restore a backup at any time.
You can read the Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced company guide to learn more about the process. It provides detailed information on the data that you can and can't back up. From there, you’ll see the instructions to create a manual copy of the file, and set a schedule and frequency for your backup.
For other QBO versions, there are several apps that work with the online program. Simply click on this link to access the QuickBooks Apps Center.
Next, enter a keyword in the Search field to speed up the process. From the list, look for the one that meets your business needs or read the reviews first for a better comparison. When you’re unable to find one, I suggest contacting the app's customer support to check if they can create a copy for a specific time frame.
For additional resources, the links below will guide you through the steps of downloading your data from QBO. These processes let you save a copy of your non-posting transactions, attachments, and customers' information.
Need more help with running any tasks in QBO? Our self-help articles contain topics such as payroll, taxes, inventory management, handle customer or vendor transactions to name a few. From there, you’ll get acclimated to how to run each process. Make sure to click the resource to see the complete details.
Keep me posted below if you have other QuickBooks concerns or additional questions saving a copy of the company file. I’ll get back to assist further. Wishing your business continued success.
