Greetings
I have QuickBooks ONLINE - experienced user
1. How do I create an email list of a specific product bought in a specific time frame so that I can offer upgrades to customers? (years ago I could do this with desktop) FYI, I know how to create the product in time frame - click on number of purchases to get list of the customers that bought the product. But Not how to get their contact data from th
Example:
Customers that bought Spiritual Course SP-1234 between Jan 1st 2015 and July 15th, 2020 that includes their address, phone and e-mail address.
2. If third party is needed - Do you know of an integrated APP that can do this? One that also e-mails would best.
Thank you,
Richard

Thank you Catherine,
I did this method - lots of work. as I have almost 15,000 customers in the time period needed for 150 of these sales. It helped to first make a NAME list of those purchased that product. Then color code it in excell Before merging it into the excel list - then when I sorted the list it was then easier to strip those out.
Again, thanks. Richard
Years ago I could do this in QB..... urgh.
Hello there, Richard.
We can pull up reports that will give us the data we need. With the Sales by Product/Service Detail our sales, grouped by product or service. It includes the date, transaction type, quantity, rate, amount, and total. While we're unable to add the customer's address, phone number and email address, we can pull up the Customer Contact List report as well. We can export both reports to Excel and collate them from there. Then, we can manually email it to your customers.
Let me show you how to run both reports:
Do the same steps for the Customer Contact List report. To know more about customizing them, click on this reference: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
I'm here if you need anything else. Take care!
Thank you Catherine,

As a customer who has been with Quickbooks online since its inception, why the hell do I have to generate two reports, open them in Excel and try to collate and merge the 2 reports together? Why can't Intuit add the product/Service field as an option in the customization tab for the customer reports? They could also enable me to add an email field in the Sale By Product detail report.
This answer is labeled "solved". This isn't a solution. Having to audit 15,000 customers to create an email list doesn't solve the problem. Intuit needs to give us access to add the fields that we need to the reports that we want to generate.
I definitely understand the importance of these fields when running a report QuickBooks, @symphonystudios.
Our developers based the added features by the number of requests they get from customers like you. If you haven't sent this feedback yet, I'd recommend sending it through QuickBooks. This way, they can review your suggestion and likely include it in future updates.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting our Firm of the Future site. This is where we share recent happenings and future developments, such as updates to newly added features.

This is a non-solution. QBO is not making my life easier, in fact I spend more time with QBO than I ever did with desktop.
We should be able to easily pull a customer list by product that includes the customer contact information.
