The online version is great both in the UK and US versions, I have both and also one client in SG as well. The problem is they release more features in the US which they dont allow in the UK and are greatly needed, and then they release features which everyone uses (like templating invoices / estimates / etc) and then they cancel them. The management at Intuit are total idiots, and the support staff on here should all be sacked, havent come across a single one that knows what he / she / it is talking about.
Dont even get me started on the account managers, waste of time.
the ability to change Colum with for purchaser orders should be done asap as it would make the layout of the purchaser orders easer to read as mine have 3/4 of the page blank !
It is NOT available in QBO Advanced!!!!!!
Customizing PO's and Sales Receipt columns is NOT in QBO Advanced!!!!!!
We have just purchased Advanced so we can get the ability to have a purchase order that our suppliers can use and looks remotely professional, I ma sad to say it does not deliver.
We moved over from desktop after using it for 15 years and being really happy with it, now being pushed towards Sage (UK) just to have the ability to send professional purchase orders….how sad is that?
For the record you can see but you can’t print and email a purchase order to a supplier with your part number and also your suppliers part number….!! This is a must for us
Come on QBs you have dropped the ball here, don’t force us to look else where over a PO template !
We are an established company that has been trading for over 20 years, we were very happy with QBs UK desktop, and the templates for the various documents that you send to suppliers and customers were professional and customisable. We are totally shocked at how limited the templates are (even in advanced), especially the PO template. It looks so unprofessional and a bit home made...., a third of it is blank and its not possible to choose (map) the fields so we can have our part number and suppliers part number on the PO!
Our suppliers have asked us why we have stopped putting critical info on our purchase orders, so we have had to compromise the product descriptions by adding extra info into the fields, but then the PO fields colums are too narrow so it all squashes up and looks terrible
Come on QBs you have dropped the ball here, when will you be resolving this ?
I have been saying this for over a year and people are only just starting to realise. QuickBooks really have f***** up on this, big time. I escalated matters to the board and some snotty nose cow working as a special assistant to the chairman eventually just stop replying because they just would not accept that this was an issue.
People need to start contacting the board and start raising official complaints about this otherwise nothing's going to get done. Right now QuickBooks have said they will not return back to the old template version using the EZfields in word docx.
QuickBooks doesn't have a clue what we are proposing. On occasion, a QuickBooks staffer will respond to this thread without any idea what is being proposed. I applaud those who continue to keep this thread alive, but QuickBooks has ignored these customization suggestions for years.
And here we have a sale professional who just want to do marketing his work and does not even know about the topic.
The word customize is not limited to what type of text you want and which color you want to choose. it is more vast word. But we can understand that you are here for your promotion only
Your post is dated 2020.
Seems like an awful long time for this to be in the works.
We need a way to change the preset names of the fields in an PO, as well as the layout.
The online version leaves a lot to be desired, for sure.
We are not trying to add or change custom fields in a PO -- we are trying to edit the preset fields and change the layout.
