Welcome to the Community, codeconsultant. I understand you're having trouble finding the entry and report. Don't worry let's work on this together.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), accountants often use journal entries to correct minor errors or record uncategorized transactions. I'd recommend consulting your accountant first before deleting an entry. Once you're ready, you can follow these steps:
- Go to the Gear icon⚙ and then Chart of accounts.
- Look for the account you created the journal entry for. Then select View register.
- Search the journal entry in the account register. The word "Journal" should be in the Ref No. or Type column.
- Select the journal entry to expand the view.
- Click Delete, then tick Yes to confirm.
On the other hand, if you want to review your entry, you can run an Adjusted Trial Balance Report to review your adjusting journal entries.
Here's how:
- In QuickBooks Online Accountant, enter Adjusted Trial Balance in the search bar. Or go to the Reports menu and search for Adjusted Trial Balance report.
- Select Customize to adjust the report as needed.
- Make sure the total debit balances equal the total credit balances.
