I'm here to ensure you're able to deposit the invoice payment in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @cummins-2007-liv.
When you receive a payment (check) from a customer, you need to record it in QuickBooks so the invoice will be marked as paid. Through the Receive Payment page, you'll have the option to either deposit the money directly into an account or select Undeposited Funds if you need to group the payment with others.
To record an invoice payment, here's how:
- Go to the + New button.
- Select Receive payment.
- From the Customer dropdown, select the name of the customer.
- From the Payment method dropdown, select Check.
- From the Deposit to dropdown, select the account you put the payment into.
- In the Outstanding Transactions section, select the checkbox for the invoice you're recording the payment for.
- When you're done, select Save and close.

Once you're done, I'd recommend pulling up both the Invoices and Received Payments and Deposit Detail reports. This way, you're able to make sure that the payment is deposited accordingly. To do this, go to the Reports menu's Standard tab and search for the above-mentioned reports.
Also, QBO gives you the tools to create attractive and professional-looking invoices, estimates, and sales receipts. Doing so will let you add the info that matters most to your business. To know more about this, I'd recommend checking out this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Then, I would encourage you to reconcile your QuickBooks accounts every month. This way, you can effectively monitor you income and make sure they match with your bank statements. Please refer to this article to know more about this process: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
Please feel free to let me know if you have other concerns about managing invoices, payments, and income transactions in QBO. You can drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care, and enjoy your day, @cummins-2007-liv.
