How do I edit the 'next date' on recurring transactions for batch invoice creation

I can share some help with how you can edit your recurring transactions, edgingtonwaterdi.

Before we begin, may I know if you've encountered any specific errors when editing your recurring template or transactions? This way, we can provide the best course of action.

If you're using the Scheduled type of recurring, we can navigate to the Gear icon and edit your template to change the date of your next recurring invoice. Kindly follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon in the upper right corner, then choose Recurring Transactions.
  2. Find the name of the template, then click Edit.
  3. Scroll down, then change the date from the Start Date field.
  4. You can choose Never, By, or After from the End dropdown.
  5. Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly in the Repeat dropdown.
  6. Fill out the Every Number of Months field.
  7. If you choose the Day option from the On dropdown, select the day you want the system to create an invoice from the Day dropdown.
  8. After reviewing everything, click the Save Template.

On the other hand, if you're using the Unscheduled type of recurring, you can directly edit the date from the transaction.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select All Sales.
  2. Find the recurring invoice you want to edit and click on Edit in the Action column.
  3. Change the date from the Invoice Date.
  4. After reviewing your transaction, click Save and Close. After doing this, a prompt will appear stating that the transaction you're about to modify is part of a recurring series.
  5. Choose the Edit recurring template to change the date on the Unscheduled recurring template.
