Buy nowScenario: I send client Estimate #100.
A week goes by, I send out multiple other estimates, I am now up to Estimate 105.
I need to make a revision to Estimate 100. I create a copy of it, and renumber it 100R.
Now, the next new estimate I create is auto-numbered 101R. But it should be 106.
I'm trying to find a quick way to see that the highest number estimate was 105, so I know to renumber the new estimate to 106.
Hello there, SomeSubContract1.
Let's find the highest numbered estimate you've used in your company file.
QuickBooks Desktop does have an automatic numbering system. This means from the first transaction you enter, it'll start counting and the numbers will follow consecutively.
Since you make a revision to estimate 100, the next estimate will follow the last number you're using. For example, we create an estimate that's 100. The new estimate will automatically create it as 101.
To find a transaction ( highest numbered estimate), you can utilize the Find feature. It's the most efficient way to find transactions in QuickBooks. These steps will guide you further:
