Happy Friday, @doug32.
Glad to have you here in Community.
The good news is, it's easy to record a refund in your QuickBooks Online.
Let's get started:
- First, click the + New button.
- Choose Check or Expense.
- Select the customer you want to refund from the Payee drop-down.
- Then from the Payment account drop-down, click the bank account where you deposited the overpayment.
- On the first line of the Category column, choose an Accounts Receivable.
- Enter how much you want to refund in the Amount field.
- After that, you can fill out the other fields as you see fit, then select Save and close.
