Hello there, @usermgallardo.

We can use the bank register to manually enter transactions from bank statements to your QuickBooks Online account.

First, add a new bank account from the Chart of Accounts.

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Within the Chart of Accounts tab, click New.
  3. Enter the name of the bank and other required details.
  4. Choose when you want to start tracking your finances make sure to enter the correct one. In the Balance field, enter the amount in the account.
  5. Once done, hit Save and close.

Once done, manually record your bank transactions from 2019:

  1. Pick the bank you’re working on. Then, click the link for View Register under the Action column.

  6. Follow the same process for all entries you want to input in QBO.

Then, here's how to reconcile them:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Reconcile. If you're reconciling for the very first time, select Get started to continue.
  3. From the Account dropdown arrow, select the account you want to reconcile. Make sure it's the same one on your statement.
  4. Follow the on-screen instruction. You can refer to this article to help you in completing the task: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

After reconciling your account, you can pull up a reconciliation report. It serves as your guide to avoid issues in doing future reconciliations. For more tips and details about reconciliation in QuickBooks Online, please use these resources:

Hi there, esnyman.

You can import the bank statement from an Excel file to QuickBooks. I'm glad to show you the steps.

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Click the Link account drop-down, then Upload from file.
  4. Select Drag and drop or select files, and click Continue.
  5. In the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down, select the account you want to upload the transactions into, then click Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then click Continue.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import, then click Continue.
  8. Click Yes.
  9. When you accept your transactions, select Done.

Also, you can select either the 3-column or 4-column format when importing an Excel file. These are the only columns QuickBooks can handle and this order. Check out this article as your guide: Learn how to check the format of the CSV file you got from your bank to upload transactions to Quick....

About showing transactions to the Accounts Receivable account, that depends on how you categorize the bank transactions. I'm adding this article to learn more about the process: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QBO.
