How do I match vendor invoices with online payment from my bank

Hello there, @BevCapeCod.

Let me present some helpful tips so you can match your vendors invoices through online payments in QuickBooks Online.

To start, if you're using vendor statements online with your bank information, you need to match using the Bills or Pay bills to your vendor bank transactions. To do this, you can manually match them using the following steps:

  1. At the left navigation panel, click Transactions. Then select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the bank you want the transaction to match.
  3. Look for the transaction in the For review tab.
  4. Find a downloaded transaction that shows the Match option in its Category or Match column.
  5. Note your DateDetailPayee, and amount received or spent, then click the transaction record to expand its view.
  6. Select the Find other matches button to match the transaction.
  • Please note that the Find other Matches button only appears when QuickBooks detects a potential match. If the button is not showing, you can also use the link on the page. I've attached a picture for reference.

7. Remember to filter the transactions by specific dates and click "Match" when you find the matching transaction.

I'm also adding this article to see further details on how to perform the process: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Lastly, you may click this article to view details on how you can reconcile your accounts to avoid discrepancies: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
