How do i move multiple invoices from one account to another account?

I am using Essentials i need to move the paid invoices from one account to another account. How do i accomplish moving all those invoices efficiently from one acct to another?

Hi there, @helenswoodencraf. I'm here to help get your data move to another account.

 

To clarify, are you trying to move invoice payments to another bank account? To do that, you'll have to open them one by one and change their deposit account.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales or Get paid & pay menu.
  2. Select the Customers tab and select a customer.
  3. Click the Filter menu and select Money Received from the Type dropdown.
  4. Open one payment transaction.
  5. From the Deposit to dropdown, choose the bank account.
  6. Click Save and close.
  7. Do the same process for the rest of the payments.

 

You can also transfer funds between accounts rather than changing the deposit account manually.

 

  1. Select + New.
  2. Select Transfer.
  3. From the Transfer Funds From dropdown list, select the bank account that the money is coming from.
  4. From the Transfer Funds To dropdown list, select the bank account that the money is going to.
  5. In the Transfer Amount field, enter the amount you need to move.
  6. Edit the Date field.
  7. Enter a description of the transfer in the Memo field.
  8. Select Save and close.

I'm here to help you migrate your invoices, @jborkholder.

 

To begin, we need to run and export the Invoice List report to get the summary of all the invoices you've entered in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

  1. Go to Reports and select Standard.
  2. Type and select Invoice List in the search field.
  3. Customize the report further to further specify what invoices you want to migrate.
  4. Click the Export/Print dropdown and choose Export as CSV.

If you're using sales tax, please note that it's currently not supported when importing your invoices. I would recommend using a third-party application that allows you to import invoices with sales tax to QuickBooks.

 

Then, let's now import it to the other company.

 

  1. Open the company you want to migrate the invoices to.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Import data.
  3. Choose Invoices and click the Download sample CSV link.
  4. Use the details of the report and follow the template format.
  5. Select Browse and choose the invoice file and click Next.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps.
