Hi odonnellex,
It isn't the kind of experience that we want you to come across.
I'm unable to tell as to when this feature willbe available in QuickBooks. Though, you may visit this page to know the latest features in QuickBooks: QuickBooks new and latest features.
If you need more help running and customizing reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO), feel free to check out this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be around whenever you have questions about QuickBooks.
Ah, I followed your advice and I see that all the new recent features are for the mobile app.
Seen this throughout my IT career as a PM and scrum master...redirect your developers on the shiny new object (mobile app) to generate publicity and new income streams while the critical business system (QBO online) gets little love.
Been asking same questions for a long time. Have new features but have not fixed the old
Absolutely agree. This is so frustrating. I need to be able to print my vendors bills (that I itemize myself in our system) to get reimbursement from banks that fund our projects. Not having the ability to print is so problematic.
This is a simple thing QB, please fix this.
Why isn't this done. I have been asking since the beginning of this year. And I see so many other subscribers are asking for this option too.
Please bring this up ASAP and get your loyal subscribers what they need to do their jobs.
We need to PRINT OUR BILLS. Not just a list of bills.
Thank you!
Hi there, odonnellex.
I know how important to have this feature in managing your bills. While this is unavailable in QuickBooks Online, I'd recommend sending feedback to our Product Development Team. At times, we roll out updates based on the requests that we receive from our customers. Here's how:
Also, feel free to check out some topics in this page to help you handle different vendor transactions in QuickBooks Online: Expenses and vendors
Keep me posted if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions. Have a good one.
That cut and past answer no longer works.
I read it as we don't care, and won't address you issue, cuz we really don't care.
Printing a bill is not a "New Feature" stop acting like you are pushing into the future by possibly adding it to the software. Printing hard copies and emailing pdfs of any and all finical happenings of a company is not a luxury it is absolutely essential. Lender asks for expenses over the last 18 months, normal business. Vendor recorded a payment incorrectly, "here is what my records show". IRS comes a knocking, absolutely everything, in order, 3 copies, NOW.
Your price keeps going up, the rest of the world keeps getting more advanced and Quickbooks can't figure out how to make a pdf.
This original post was posted in February of 2020! How is there STILL not a print feature for bills?!?! I am absolutely amazed at the lack of service from QBO. It's not even a "feature", it is a standard item. The "feedback" button that they keep referring us to does nothing... obviously, since it's been 2.5 years and no revisions have been made. QBO --- do better and give basic features so someone can run a business. I am paying for the "best" online service and yet I can't print a bill. What a joke!
Signed - Very unsatisfied customer.
It's 9-30-2022 and you still cannot print a bill in QB online. Crazy!!!!!!!
I really need to print bills in QB, please add this feature
I swear if they tell us ONE MORE TIME to submit feedback, I'm going to lose it! What do they think this thread is?? IT'S FEEDBACK!! Do something about it.
Pure incompetence.
It's now 2023 and there still is no solution to this. This is really concerning as we just switched to QuickBooks, but if simple features like this doesn't get resolved, I'll be looking more seriously into other software like Sage.
YEARS!
That is how long Quickbooks Online has been promising to fix this issue, among others. My old job we used Desktop version, which is GREAT but where I am now we are online. And NOW they are doing away with all desktop and support.,,EVERYONE will be forced to use online...UNLESS we find a new service to use. Which my boss has asked me to begin seriously looking into as Quickbooks continues to say these issues will be fixed but again...YEARS!!! It is ridiculous that I cannot print a stupid bill without going through a bunch of weird options that ends up printing a poor, ugly substitute for the bill. Quickbooks will have a massive drop in users and revenues soon because I know Desktop users who understand my frustration with online and will not make the switch.
FIIIIXXXXXXXXXXXX THIS PLEASE! Such a basic option to add, I'm astonished that this thread is this old and not getting fixed.
2023 still going strong on a 45 minute fix for a competent developer. YOU"RE DOING TERRIFIC QUICKBOOKS!
Is this printing bills problem resolved? I also can't print bills in QBs online plus.
Hello there!
I appreciate you for dropping by here in the Community about the features you need in QuickBooks. Currently, the option to print bill in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable. As a workaround you'll want to run and customize the Transactions List by Vendor report to access the bills of your vendors.
Here's how:
I understand how convenient to have a print bill option. Please know that we always take our customers' requests and ideas into consideration when prioritizing feature development.
That said, I recommend sending feedback to our Product Development Team to help improve your QuickBooks experience. When you're ready, here's how to do it:
For additional tips while working with your expense and vendor transactions in the future, you can check some topics from our Help Article page.
Additionally, I've attached this article to help you enter and track receipts and bills: Upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
Keep me posted if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions. Have a good one.
It's been more than 4 years now that people are asking for the simple functionality of printing a bill. Printing of bill details is required by many people. It's not reasonable that this is not available by now.
Has anyone started looking and evaluating alternative accounting software? I'd be very interested in seeing a better service than QBO.
No one believes you when you claim that Intuit listens. However, the little cumulative issues I've encountered with QBO help me understand why convincing QBD users to migrate online is challenging. This issue may be the proverbial straw that forces me to migrate back to desktop.
Interesting that there is still no change. No matter how many times people ask for it or comment about it, Intuit simply is not listening and appears not to care.
Thank you, vpcontroller. I created a custom report from the Transaction Journal that gave me 80% of the information I needed to replace printing the bill. Unfortunately, going to QBO forces users to give up simple features. However, you've opened my eyes to seeing custom reporting as the solution for many of QBO's shortcomings.
This information was not helpful. I too would like to be able to print a bill. Sometimes changes are made and they need to be explained to the recipient.
I usually pay a single vendor a lump sum for several invoices at a time. I need to be able to print the actual bill so they don't have to ask me, "Hey! What is this money for?". They will have the bill right there, with all the invoice numbers and totals all listed in a nice little package. Ya know, like how it is on the Desktop?!? Super easy to fix and yet years later, still not available to do. Now, I have handwrite invoice numbers to be mailed with the check so the vendor can match my payment with the correct invoice numbers. DO BETTER!!!! For Christ's sake....
We have counted on the bill printing function in Quickbooks Desktop. We were urged to move to QBO and now find that we are struggling to have accurate billing records because there is no print option for bills. This is unbelievable that I'm seeing requests and complaints 3.5 years old. Why is Intuit making us pay MORE for a product with LESS function that doesn't support us at all? Intuit - please address this issue ASAP.
