Hello, brooks-practicef.

You can open or switch screen in QuickBooks Online windows by dragging the tab on the other side of the screen. Also, please know that you can open multiple windows with QuickBooks Online. However, it should be the same company file. Simply right-click your browser tab, then select Duplicate. Now that you have two tabs logged in to your account, you may pull one out of the window so you can work on two different screens side-by-side.

To ensure that you can work in more than one company at a time, you can open the second one through an incognito window or other supported browsers. Feel free to use these shortcut keys to launch a private browser:

  • Ctrl Shift for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift for Firefox & Microsoft Edge
  • Command Shift for Safari

Not sure what you mean "dragging the tab on the other side of the screen".

Maybe I was not clear.  We just had our data migrated.  We had inactive customers and jobs that did not come in correctly, some came in active some not.  I'm having to go through every customer and sub customer(used to be called jobs) to get them correct.  I go to a  sub customer of a customer that names starts w/ R.  When I try to go back to that R customer to correct another sub customer under that same parent R customer, it takes me back to the As.  Then I have to scroll through pages to get back to the Rs.
