How do we duplicate a customer invoice without pricing being updated to default sales price in system. Not all customers are sold at same rate on items.

When duplicating a customer invoice, Quickbooks is automatically updating all line items to the default pricing in the system. This becomes a hassle because all customers are not on the same default pricing model, so we are upsetting customers when we send an invoice without catching the unintentional price increases that QB is automatically changing. How do I TRULY duplicate an invoice where it will match the original in all line items? This is just a recent issue, I assume with some type of update that happened in Quickbooks Online.

I recognize the challenges you're experiencing when sending duplicate invoices using QuickBooks Online (QBO), @sjs89559

The option to send duplicate invoices with the same price rates as the original one is currently available and working well in QBO. Since the sales price automatically changes to the default rate when sending duplicate entries, I suggest troubleshooting your web browser to determine what's causing this unexpected behavior.

First, access your QBO company using a private browser or an incognito mode to prevent any conflicts with existing cookies or cached data that might affect the performance of the software. Below are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works, clear your browser's cache to improve and refresh the system functionalities. You can also add Intuit as a trusted site to secure and prevent-content blocking experience. Otherwise, use another supported browser or device.

If the issue persists after performing the steps above, please contact our Customer Care Support team to further investigate why the price rates change to the default one when send duplicate invoices to your customers.
