How do you change the way emails look when sent to customers?

The preset email message template looks unprofessional with huge letters of the total $ displayed in the center of the email. They look like spam. How do I change the look of the email message?

How do you change the way emails look when sent to customers?

Hello there, itsupport-genius.

The only option in the Online delivery section is to have it in HTML or Plain text. Customizing it the way you want it is currently unavailable.

We value your interest in this feature and understand its importance in optimizing your accounting workflows. I encourage submitting a feature request to our development team to enable customization of the email template based on your preferences. Customer feedback is instrumental in guiding future updates and enhancements to QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

If you have anything else you need help with the email template, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm here to assist you in any way I can.

How do I make it plain text? It looks obnoxiously huge. Customers think it's spam and delete the invoices.

How do you change the way emails look when sent to customers?

How do I make the Invoice email message look like the Sales receipt email message? That format is more acceptable.

Thanks for following up with this thread, itsupport-genius.

You can set up or change customer messages from the Sales screen of your Account and settings.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Account and settings.
  2. Access your Sales tab.
  3. In the Messages section, click your Pencil icon.
  4. Tick your Use greeting checkbox and choose a preferred greeting.
  5. Specify Invoice as the Sales Form.
  6. For the Subject and Email message, you can leave your verbiage in the box that's provided or type in your own custom messages.
  7. Turn on the Email me a copy option if you'd like to receive a copy.
  8. After you've made all of your appropriate changes to the message, select Save, then Done.

I've also included a detailed resource about changing sales form messages which may come in handy moving forward: How to set up or change customer messages

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Friday!
