I make notes on customers and need to print them out, how do I print them out?

How do you print a customers notes?

Welcome to the Community space. 

 

You can only print customer notes when running reports. We can run the Customer Contact List report and customize it to include the customer notes. I'll go over some details to help you achieve the task.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the Find report by name field, enter the Customer Contact List.
  3. Select Customize
  4. Under the Rows/Columns ▼ dropdown, click the Change columns, then select the Note checkbox.
  5. Finally, Run the report.

Afterward, let's click the Print icon to print the report.

 

Make sure that you already added a note for your customer. If not, check out this article for the steps: Add and use notes in QuickBooks Online.

 

Also, you can export the report to Excel. From there, you can personalize your data further manually.

 

In addition, you can customize your report to highlight the important details. After that, you may save your settings by clicking Save Customization to avoid customizing the report again in the future. Please check this article for the detailed steps: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

When printing the notes directly on this tab in your customer profile, a workaround for this is pressing CTRL + P. This will take you to the Printing window, where you can configure its settings and print the notes area directly.


Since printing them from the Notes tab is currently unavailable, I suggest sending your feedback about this to our product engineers. Your suggestion helps shape our services and improve our processes to align with your needs and preferences.
