Do you have QB Payment account or a 3rd party payment processor?
QB payment. I'm not kidding when I say 12 hours on tech support. Even they gave up.
I get that it's important to get this sorted out fast so you can wrap up what you need to do with the progress invoicing and payment. Allow me to join this thread to provide additional information, Liamkays152.
QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payments work together by allowing you to seamlessly invoice your customers and receive payments directly through the QuickBooks platform.
Additionally, QuickBooks Payments helps you take care of all your business payments and makes it simple for your customers to pay you. Just be sure to set up your QuickBooks Payments account in QuickBooks Online so customers can pay their invoices online, and then we can process the payments. You can also visit this article to find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits the funds: QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your bank account.
But if your clients have made the payments and are having issues, I recommend contacting our Payments Support Team again. They'll check your account and see why it's having issues processing payments and its status. Then, they'll tell you how to fix it fast.
You can also use the Progressing Invoicing feature. Just turn it on in the settings, and then you can keep track of estimates and make multiple payments from them. For the complete steps, I recommend checking this article: Set up and send progress invoices. If you're having trouble keeping track of estimates, just give me the details. That way, I can look into it and give you the right information.
In your free time, you can read about converting an estimate into an invoice.
Post again if you require further assistance with your QuickBooks accounts. My goal is to ensure that you achieve your desired outcomes in your bookkeeping.
We have spoken with that department for a very long time they could not see any problem or come up with any kind of solution. They gave up and said I should ask for a check or close my QuickBooks checking account. It was declined by QuickBooks for "security check".
The progressive payments creates multiple invoices with separate invoice numbers which causing problems for my clients billing because it looks like 4 different jobs but is actually only 1.
I spent a lot of time training QuickBooks employees today on how the new system works. Almost none of them had a basic understanding due to all the new changes. When I asked for someone with more experience they would hang up on me.
I am determined to make this system work after spending 2 months preparing for the transition. If you or anyone is a master of this system I would spend any amount of time or money to make this system with for my business.
Please help me. I really do not want to give up but everyone I spoke to today gave me the impression that my problems are insurmountable.
If their QB Payment support team can't help you, consider using a 3rd party payment processor instead. One provider can help to setup and run for less than 48 hours.
If I can't process payments, track my estimates, or create payment schedules for projects I'll just go back to Freshbooks.
I really want the 5%apy envelopes, the $10 ACH fees, the one stop shop for workers comp and payroll, plus the ease of having my bank on the same dashboard. But if I can't get paid or send an estimate I'm stuck with what works with Freshbooks instead of what I want which is QuickBooks.
I'm convinced if I get the right person on the phone they will explain how easy this all is I just can't get anyone with experience. It's also possible that QuickBooks really just can't do these simple things in 2024 that I've been doing since 2017 on Freshbooks.
You can use a 3rd party free processor to integrate with QBO and accept ACH payments for free. If you decide switching back to Freshbooks, you can still use the same payment processor with your existing account.
