To add tags to bills, you'll initially need to create tag groups if you haven't yet.
Here's how:
After created your necessary groups, you can create new tags and add them to bills:
You'll want to be aware that you can add as many tags as you'd like, but you can only pick one tag per tag group.
I've also included a detailed resource about tagging bills which may come in handy moving forward: Tag transactions
Please don't hesitate to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Monday!

Thanks Zack. I have created the tags and tag group but the field does not appear on the expenses or bills screen. Only on the deposit window. Weird, right?
Yes, it's certainly odd, newyorktutor. This issue with tags in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is likely due to the browser, so let's work together to troubleshoot and resolve it.
Start by pulling up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:
Once signed in, go to the + New button to create a bill and tag it.
If you're able to do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. After that, log out and then log back into your account. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues.
However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.
Also, you may want to pull up the Profit and Loss by Tag Group report to see a list of your income, expenses, and net revenue by group.
Please know that the Community is always ready to back you up if you need more help tagging transactions in QBO. I'll keep the thread open so you can comment back.
