How to I recover invoices that I accidently deleted

Hi there, anjni.

Currently,  there's no option to automatically restore a deleted transaction in QuickBooks Online.

Once you delete a transaction, it will be erased completely from your books. It will no longer appear on your reports or in your accounts.

You can use your Audit Log to recover some details, then recreate the invoice.

To  pull up the audit log report:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then choose Audit log
  2. Click on Filter and select Show only these eventsTransactions, and Deleted/Voided transactions
  3. Look for the deleted invoice and click View under the History column to get all the details that you need.

After that, click the + New button and select Invoice. Then, enter all the details and click Save. You can check out this link for more information: Use the audit log to re-enter deleted transactions.

Click the Reply button below if you still need further assistance. I'll keep an eye for your response. Keep safe.

Let me help you recover the invoice number and adding more information about the transaction, Hamdy8979.

Recovering or restoring deleted invoices number is unavailable in QuickBooks. We can utilize the Audit log to get the information on the deleted invoice. Here are the screenshots for you to follow:

Also, In QuickBooks Online, there's an alternative way to keep or reuse the invoice number by creating a new transaction and make sure to turn on the auto numbering function on your sales forms. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Sales from the left menu.
  3. Go to the Sales form content section and toggle the Custom transaction numbers to turn on the automatic numbering.
  4. Hit Save and Done.

More details can be found about using the audit log and how it appears in this article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.
