How to remove the review and pay button when you email an invoice?

My clients only send checks. I do not want to confuse them by adding the review and pay button on the email. Invoice. Is there a way to remove that?

How to remove the review and pay button when you email an invoice?

Hello there, joyce.

Let me walk you through on how to turn off QuickBooks Online Payment.

To remove the online payment option, make sure to uncheck the Cards and Bank transfer boxes. This way, your clients will only see the Print or save button. You can turn it off by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click + New and choose Invoice.
  3. Under Online payments, uncheck the Cards and Bank transfer.

     4. Input all the necessary information.

     5. Select Save and send.

How to remove the review and pay button when you email an invoice?

Those boxes are unchecked, but the button,  "Review and pay", still appears on the email when I send it. I have not found a way to overcome it.

Unfortunately, I am unable to add an attachments.

How to remove the review and pay button when you email an invoice?

We recognize your need for a feature that allows you to remove the review and pay button from email invoices in QuickBooks, joycemedia.

Currently, the option to remove the review and pay button in your email invoice is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I can see the importance of having this feature, and I encourage you to submit feedback directly to our product engineers. At times, we roll out product enhancements based on the requests that we receive from our customers.

Here's how to submit feedback:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top, and then tap Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Then select Next to submit feedback.

You can track your feature requests through our QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website. For more details, please browse through this article: How do I submit feedback?

Also, can you give more details about the attachment you're having trouble adding? Did you encounter any error messages, and which section of QuickBooks are you trying to add it to? This information can assist us in being on the same page and providing a precise solution.

Additionally, I'll be sharing these resources that will guide you in personalizing your sales forms and how to record customer payments in QuickBooks Online:

If you have any further inquiries about the review and pay feature for your invoices, please don't hesitate to reach out to us by leaving a reply below. We're always here to help. Stay safe.

How to remove the review and pay button when you email an invoice?

Thanks for joining the thread, Herman.

I'll share information regarding this issue with the Review and Pay button on invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

An alternative way to get around this query is to turn off the Online payment options from the company settings. This way, you'll be able to remove the button. Here's how:

  1. Choose Accounts and Settings from the Gear icon.
  2. Click the Edit icon on the Online Delivery section from the Sales tab.
  3. You can choose either Plain text or HTML from the Additional email options for invoices drop-down.
  4. Click Save and Done.

However, we're receiving similar cases in that other users are experiencing issues regarding this matter. They can still see the button even though the payment options are unticked.

As of the moment, you can perform some troubleshooting steps by starting to log in to your account using a private browser. Too much historical data stored from your browser results in issues like this. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open an incognito window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

If the options are gone, you can return to your original browser and clear its cache, not the cookies. You can use another supported, up-to-date browser to narrow down the results.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team so they can investigate this matter further.

Once settled, I have an article to help you account for your customer payments: Receive invoice payment.

Please let me know if you still have questions about invoices in QBO. I'll be right here to help. We wish you the best and take care always.

How to remove the review and pay button when you email an invoice?

I just got the same question from a frustrated client.  Don't hesitate to reach out to us?  Fat lot of good that's done in the past. Just another example of "enhanced functionality" no one wanted and cannot be turned off.  Thanks for nothing!

There is a glitch and when you switch to plain text, it will change all of your invoices to accept payments through QB.
