I am a contract employee, the company I work for graciously takes out my Federal Income tax from my checks. When I enter this into QuickBooks it does not change my est. tax due?

Hi aps612,

Thanks for choosing QuickBooks-Self Employed as your partner.

Let's make sure to correctly categorize the transaction as estimated taxes when entering it in QuickBooks. This way, you'll be able to see changes in your estimated tax due.

For future reference, you can check this article for more information about the type of taxes that we don't calculate: Estimated taxes explained.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. I'll be right here to help you anytime.
