I chose " save draft" but I can't find it.

Hey there, @chrismerry64.

I'll help you locate the invoice that you've saved as a draft in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Once you create an invoice and save it, this will automatically show in the Invoices list. Just simply follow these steps to find it. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBSE account.
  2. From the left menu, select Invoices
  3. Check the transaction which has a Draft status. This where you can identify the invoice.

Additionally, this program is designed to help you record your self-employed income and expenses, track mileage, and prepare your Schedule C. To get more details about its features, check out our QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview guide.

Keep me posted if you need anything else or if you have other questions about managing your transactions in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help. Have a great weekend.

Hi Customer, @chrismerry64.

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the invoice draft issue you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!

I have this same problem. I've lost two draft invoices already this week.

Hi there, carpet. Let's figure out why the two draft invoices are missing.

Let's begin with utilizing the fields from the Invoices tab. Make sure the status is Draft, the date is correct, and we can use the Search field to enter the details of the missing draft invoices, such as amount, customer name, or invoice number. Please see the sample screenshot below.

If it persists, we can access your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account in an incognito window. It prevents storing search history and will give you a clean slate. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works, you can clear cache and temporary internet files to optimize the browser's performance: Delete browser cache and Intuit-specific cookies to fix issues. Another way is to use compatible browsers with QBSE: System requirements for QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I've gathered two articles where you can get additional tips about managing invoices in the product.

It's my pleasure to help you! If you have concerns about missing transactions and other things in QuickBooks, please let me know in the comment below. I always got your back.
