Good afternoon, @connielou.
I've got just the steps you'll need to resolve this issue and save your Journal Entry. Missing buttons are a common result of outdated internet files that need cleared from your browser. Sites like QuickBooks Online store these files to save you time while loading repetitive information and images. In order to clear these from your browser, click the respective link below:
Clearing temporary internet files
By clearing these files, you'll force QuickBooks to load a new version of everything displayed on the page, likely restoring the Journal Entry Save button. Please reach out to me here and let me know if there's anything else I can do for you, I want to ensure your success. Thanks for coming to the Community and have a great day.
Hi there,
I followed your steps but still see no "save" button.
I am trying to add new inventory items, and add detail to inventory items that are already listed.
Hi there, @pstirling.
Thanks for joining in the discussion and sharing this. I appreciate you trying out the steps provided by my colleague @MichaelDL. I can help provide other ways to isolate this issue further.
Let's try to zoom out your QuickBooks account. You can click the Zoom (-) to check if the Save & Close button appears. Please see attached screenshot below.
Finally, if you the issue persists, consider trying a different browser or even another computer to make sure the problem is not with the web page. However, if it's still not working, then it'd be best to contact our QuickBooks Online Support. They have helpful tools that can isolate this issue further.
Here's how to get their contact information:
Please don't hesitate to let me know how it goes. I'll be here to help if you have other questions.
The below will work however it will happen again, especially in chrome. Quickbooks would prefer you to use internet Exployer which is so slow and full of security concerns. The only option is to put up with the disappearing save button or switch your accounts software.
Hi there, @quick is a joke.
This is usually happening on the resolution of the browser cache affecting the performance. As most issues in QBO can be fixed by following the basic troubleshooting.
Use a private browser because this won’t store any information at all.
Here's how to use the shortcut keys for private browser:
Chrome: press CTRL + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL + Shift + P
Internet Explorer: press CTRL+ Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
After that, go back to your regular browser and clear the browser's cache to refresh it. Click this link for guidance on how to do it: Delete or disable cache and temporary internet files in your web browser.
I’m also adding this article about what computer and browser you need for the best QuickBooks experience:System requirements for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Accountant, and QuickBooks Self-Employe....
Don’t hesitate to post in the thread if you have any other questions. Have a lovely day.
