I do not have the option to upgrade to the new invoice format. Anyone else have this issue? Have you solved it?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community, @suzannek1.

At this time, our product experts are currently in the process of enhancing the new invoice layout and continue rolling out the new invoice experience to some customers, and getting feedback in QuickBooks. Thus, this rollout update will gradually change into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

For more details about the new updates in invoices layout in QBO, you can click on this link: See what's new with estimates and invoices in QBO.

In addition, you can personalize and add specific info to your invoice and other form styles in QBO. To know more about it, you can check out the detailed steps in this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Don't hesitate to reply anytime if you still have questions or clarifications about the new invoices in QBO. I'm more than happy to assist you. Take care, and have a great day ahead!

Kevin, I'm having the same issue. Did you ever figure out how to get the new invoices, or do we have to wait until they roll this feature out to more customers?

I'm having the same issue. Were you able to get the new version, or is it just not available to all customers yet?

Yes, @Madstad1451. The option is unavailable to all customers in QuickBooks Online.

We can currently use QuickBooks Online's supported format for invoices.

Moreover, see this page for the detailed steps in Customizing an invoice in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted for more sales receipts queries. I'm always willing to share it with you. Have a great day.

@ChristineJoieR thank you. I was hoping to add Paypal and Venmo as payment options on invoices, and I know the new invoice format allows that. Is there another way to add these, or do you know when the new invoices will be available to all customers?

I appreciate you for coming back to the thread and adding clarification about the new invoices in QuickBooks Online. I'll be sharing details on how the said entry works in QBO and I'll ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.

Adding Paypal and Venmo as payment options on invoices is only available if you have QuickBooks Payments. Then, it allows you to add links to invoices so customers can pay online. Otherwise, this is currently impossible for a user who isn't using the said QuickBooks above.

Please know QuickBooks Online is constantly changing and evolving based largely on the suggestions and recommendations of users. With this, you can go to the Gear icon in QuickBooks Online. From there, you're able to choose Feedback and submit a request about a feature that you need. Any recommendations are sent to our engineers for consideration in future updates.

On the other hand, QuickBooks Online's workflow has recently been updated. We're sending out estimates and invoices for a makeover, as well as introducing a new experience to some customers and gathering feedback. Then, please keep in mind that we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for when the new invoices will be available to all customers.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to see different details on how the Sales page gives you a great at-a-glance view of all the status of your sales transactions like open and paid invoices: View sales transactions.

Please know that you can always get back to this thread if you have any other clarifications or questions about managing your invoices in QBO. I'm always around to help, Madstad1451. Have a great day!

BE GRATEFUL! THEY UPGRADED MINE AND IT'S AWFUL. YOU CAN'T CLICK A PLUS SIGN TO ADD A LINE WHERE EVER YOU WANT. IT PRINTS OUT ZEROS FOR EVERY LINE ITEM EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT ZERO'S THERE AND YOU CAN'T EDIT THE SHIP TO ON EACH INDIVIDUAL INVOICE. YOU HAVE TO RE-EDIT THE ACCOUNT PROFILE EACH TIME. I HAVE A CLAIM FILED WITH QB IN HOPES THAT THEY CAN CORRECT THESE ISSUES
