I have a paid invoice and under Deposit info it shows visa and the last 4 digits of a card. I'd that where the funds are going or the card the customer paid with?

If it is my card for depositing funds how can I change it if that card is no longer open?

I appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns, Michael. Let me provide some insights to help you change your card for depositing funds in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To begin, the last 4 digits of the card under Deposit Info on a paid invoice indicate the card the customer paid with. You can change your card for depositing funds either in standard deposit account or instant deposit account. However, please note that if you change your account after 3 PM PT, we'll deposit your payments to the new account the next business day. If you processed payments before 3 PM PT, we'll put them in your old account.

If update standard deposit account, here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Settings and then select Account and Settings.
  3. Select the Payments tab. In the Deposits section next to Standard Deposits, select Change bank.
  4. Select Add new bank account.
  5. Enter the account and routing number of the bank account you want to change to and then select Save.
  6. Find the new bank account from the list and select Verify.
  7. Enter the two small amounts we have deposited to the new bank account.
  8. Review the bank account info and complete your request.

If instant deposit account, here's how:

  1. Select Settings  and then Account and Settings.
  2. Select Payments and go to Deposit accounts.
  3. Select Change to edit your instant deposit info. Note: If you switch from your personal debit card to your QuickBooks Checking debit card, select the 0% fee option.
  4. Select Save and then Done.

For more detailed information, you can check this article: Change the deposit bank account.

I'll also add this article for future reference in combining multiple transactions into a single record so QuickBooks matches your real-life bank deposits: Record and make bank deposits.

If you have any concerns about the changing the card for depositing funds, please tag me in the comment section, Michael. I'll assist you in any way possible.
