I have an open PO. There is an item that is on the PO that has been deleted. It will not allow me to remove the item in order to close out the PO. How do i remove it?

Hi, @krystal1.

 

You have to activate the deleted item first before you can remove it from the purchase order. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to Sales menu, and click Products and Services.
  2. Find the inactive item, filter the list by clicking the funnel icon and on the Status box select Inactive.
  3. On the Action column, click Make active
  4. Open the purchase order and on the purchase order status, select Close.
  5. Click Save and Close. (Purchase order should already be in a closed status.)
  6. To make the item inactive again, go back to Sales menu then, select Products and Services.
  7. Find the specific item, click the drop-down arrow beside Edit and select Make inactive. You can see the deleted item in the closed Purchase order.

You can close the old purchase orders (POs) that are open and delete them to remove from there list. Let me guide you through the steps.

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Online, click Expenses from the left menu.
  2. Click the Filter drop-down.
  3. Select Purchase order from the Type drop-down.
  4. From the Status drop-down, select Open.
  5. Enter the date range of the old POs, then click Apply.1.PNG
  6. Open each POs and the Purchase order status to Close.2.PNG
  7. Click Save, then click More and select Delete.
  8. Select Yes to confirm.3.PNG
