I have upgraded to Enterprise 23 and no longer have the cash flow projection report available

I just recently upgraded to Enterprise Solutions Contractor 23.  I used to do a weekly cash flow projection to present to management.  I know longer have that options available.  I go under Company - Planning and Budgeting - ...and then there is no Cash Flow Projector available.  Is it no longer an option or do I have to set it up?

Hi there, @ChrisMc29.

I'll share information about your report in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Suite

Yes, the Cash Flow Projector report under Planning and Budgeting is no longer available for the newer QuickBooks Desktop after version 2022. The article says it was discontinued and can be accessed while using the older versions of QuickBooks Desktop.

While the said report is not available without notice or a word about why it is discontinued, I suggest letting our product developers know this by sending a request via the feedback. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.
  3. Click Product Suggestion.
  4. Under Product Area, choose Reports.
  5. Enter a few words describing how the Cash Flow Projector report is helping your business forecast a budget in QuickBooks Desktop.
  6. Select Send Feedback.
  7. Click Close Window.

For now, I'm including this reference so you're able to use all the features and functions of QuickBooks: Help Articles in QuickBooks Desktop. You can also read subtopics that will describe how features are used and how to accomplish tasks related to their functions.

I've got you covered if you have questions aside from generating reports in QuickBooks. Use the Reply option below and don't forget to include my name, @JonpriL, so that I can get back here and lend you a helping hand.

I have found my answer.  The Weekly Cash Flow Projector is no longer available in QuickBooks Enterprise Solution 23.  It was discontinued in version 22.

Hello - we just upgraded to Quickbooks 2023 (Enterprise) - and also noticed, much to our dismay, that the Cash Flow Projection feature has been eliminated. This has been such an important tool for reporting to Sr. Mgmt, since 2008. To have had this removed - without any notification, is beyond disappointing. I'm seriously considering migrating to a different accounting software program that offers this feature.

Having to resort to creating Excel Spreadsheets to update Cash Flow Projections is hardly an ideal solution. It used to be, in fact, that you could alphabetize the list you create in the Cash Flow Projection report - and/or insert a line, if, for example - your list of projected expenses (other than A/P list at the bottom of the report) were organized alphabetically. But they removed that feature some time ago (when that happened - I remember being concerned, but learned to manage by having to recreate the list from scratch if too much that I needed to capture, had changed - and I didn't just want to add to my list at the bottom).

I REALLY hope that Intuit adds back this critical feature - we've come to rely on it to manage our Cash Flow, line of credit, and have our hand on the pulse of aged receivables - forecast out by 6 weeks. It's become an essential tool. I would really like to understand WHY they elected to remove this feature - makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever.

I totally agree and have sent my scathing remarks to the help desk - not that I expect any response.

Paying over $500/month for 8 users - Enterprise is quickly becoming no more than a data base and is quickly losing it's appeal as a business management tool.

I totally agree that having to resort to an excel spreadsheet is ludicrous and I too will be starting my search for a replacement software.

Since upgrading to Enterprise Contractor 2023 we no longer have the certified payroll reporting.  We have been told that this edition has a glitch with the Microsoft Excel product.  This better get fixed as manually doing the Certified Payroll reports is a pain.
