Hey there, jennifersteinker.
Thanks for joining us here in the Community. I want to make sure you're able to view your customers in QuickBooks Online.
As an initial troubleshooting step, I recommend clearing the browser cache. The cache is in place to collect data to make loading web pages quicker and easier. Over time, if the cache becomes too full, the opposite can happen resulting in viewing and performance errors within the system. Clearing it will force a refresh, resolving these types of issues. Here's how to get this done if you're using Chrome for example:
1. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
2. Select More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.
3. Change the time range to All Time.
4. Only check Cached images and files.
5. Click Clear data.
The following article provides similar steps for other browsers: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online
Please let me know if you're able to see and click the Customers tab after giving this a try. I'll be here if you have any other questions.
Hello -
Is it possible in Quickbooks Online to move the toolbar from the left side of the page to the top of the screen?
Thanks for joining this thread, @MEMHMB.
The option to move or rearrange the toolbar is currently unavailable, you can only hide it by clicking the three-lined menu at the top left of the screen. This will help you free up some space on your screen if you want to see more info.

Hi community,
I can't seem to find the toolbar in my QB online. How do I locate it so that it automatically comes up when I log into QB online?
Thank you
erin
Thanks for posting here, @useresinger,
When you open QuickBooks, you will normally find the toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen. If you cannot see it, try to click the hamburger icon indicated with the three horizontal lines beside the company file name. See this:
If this doesn't work, try another browser or a private window. Unexpected issues in QuickBooks are sometimes affected by the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because the regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will remove history unless done manually.
The incognito mode will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:
Clearing the cache can also help resolve browser issues in QBO.
