Hello there, pjm0n.
Let me guide you on how to check which bills you paid by an expense transaction. This way, you can monitor your expenses and keep your account updated.
There are different ways to record a payment in QuickBooks. You can either record it to an outstanding bill or with an expense. Both are considered your business expenses.
To start, you can visit your vendor's profile to view the complete list of their bills, expenses, and other transactions. Here's how:
I've attached screenshots below for your reference.
You can also pull up two different reports to view your vendor transactions. The Transaction List by Vendor and the Bills and Applied Payments reports. Here's how:
I've attached screenshots below showing the opened Transaction List by Vendor and Bills and Applied Payments reports.
Moreover, you can memorize the report to save its current customization settings. For the detailed steps, kindly visit this article: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online. It also contains information on how to export your report to an Excel file.
Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
hello sir,
thank you so much for a detailed answer.
I want to click an Expense and all the Bills paid should be under that.
I am using QBO Plus but i cannot find Bills and Applied Payments reports. Is that feature just for higher subscription?
The Bills and Applied Payments report is available in QuickBooks Online Plus, pjm0n.
Let's determine why you're unable to see it on your file. To start with, let's open QuickBooks on a private window. This is the best place to identify any browser-related issues.
You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open this window:
Then if it works, we can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. A piled cache can also be the reason for some unexpected issues on the pages we've opened.
We can also switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safri.
Afterward, let's run the Bills and Applied Payments report again.
In case you want to add additional data to the report, you can customize it.
Don't hesitate to reach out to me in case you still need my help. Stay safe!
Thank you so much Sir for your help!
1. I emptied/deleted the cache several times both for Google Chrome and Safari browsers.
2. I logged in Private browser for Safari and Incognito mode in Chrome several times.
3. Both methods have negative results.
