I seem to no longer be able to add a customer's credit card. Did something change recently?

When setting up a customer we could add a credit card under billing information. Now we click on the credit card option under billing and it does not move to where we can add the card number

There are no changes with adding a customer's credit card in QuickBooks Online. Thus, you should be able to add the card smoothly. Since you're running into an issue, I suggest performing some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. I'm here to guide you with the process.

 

First, I recommend opening QuickBooks using a private window, then add the card details from there. In most cases, unusual behavior happens due to the stocked cache on the regular browser you're using. To save you time, you can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

 

If it works fine, go back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh. Moreover, please make sure that you're using a supported and up-to-date browser to avoid issues while working with QuickBooks.
