Let me share some information to make sure you're able to successfully update your recurring invoice template.
Just to clarify, are you using one recurring invoice template for 150 customers? If so, you'd want to make sure to select Update for all options.
If it's still not updating for all customers, we can try to do so one more time using a private or incognito browser. This way we can isolate this unexpected behavior for a possible browser-related. You can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

Once completed and it works successfully, you'd want to clear the cache of your regular web browser. Also, you can use other supported browsers. Lastly, you can run the Browser Health Checkup Tool to check any issues with your browser’s health and its compatibility with QuickBooks Online.
