I've been using QB Self Employed to track my husband's rideshare driving. We are switching to a different business. How do I "reset" the business info to a new one?

I want to switch the business info from rideshare driving to online sales. I don't see an option to do that.

Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, Koda1021.

If you're looking to use QuickBooks for a different business, I'd recommend creating a new account. You can review our pricing plans on the Pricing page.

In the event you choose to cancel your current subscription, you can do so anytime.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your books with a web browser.
  2. Use the Gear () icon.
  3. Go to Billing Info.
  4. Select Cancel subscription.

You'll also be able to find many detailed resources about using QuickBooks in our help article archives.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a great day!

Thanks! Thing is, I want to keep my current login because it is tied to turbotax. If I cancel my membership, can I create a new subscription with the same login (to start from scratch) or will it forever be tied to the rideshare business? That business is gone, so I want to completely pivot to the online sales and use my existing login.

Thank you for reaching back out! You should be able to create a new subscription with the same login information. In fact, you can have one user ID to access multiple QuickBooks Online accounts by sending an invite. I am adding this link that shares how to do so!

If you need assistance or clarification, I will be happy to help you out! Take care for now.
