I'd be happy to help you handle your concern with the purchased order in QuickBooks, columbusketotrea.

I understand you are looking for an option to accept a purchase order (P.O.) in QuickBooks Online and collect payment. However, I regret to inform you that QuickBooks Online has no specific feature to accept P.O.s or collect payments directly through them. The only way to check your P.O. is when the customer emails you.

In QuickBooks Online, purchase orders are non-posting transactions, which means they do not directly affect your financial records. They are typically used to record the items requested by a customer or the items purchased from a vendor. Once the purchase order is created, you can convert it to a bill. Once you convert it to a bill, you can request payment for an order.

QuickBooks Online also offers several options for collecting customer payments, such as creating invoices and sales receipts or using the QuickBooks Payments feature. These methods allow you to generate sales transactions associated with the appropriate accounts and reflect accurate financial records.

If you have received a purchase order from a customer and need to collect payment, I recommend creating an invoice based on the purchase order details. This will convert the non-posting purchase order into a posting transaction and enable you to receive payment from your customer. You can easily create an invoice by going to the Sales tab and selecting "Create Invoice.
