If I order QuickBook compatible checks from a discount company,will QuickBook print my law firm name & choose check number?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. As long the product accept/offer promos that are made for QuickBooks Online. 

On the other hand, we offer compatible checks that you can use in your daily transactions. You can order through QuickBooks Checks & Supplies. Just hover your mouse's pointer on the Phone icon to get the number. 

You can also check for a third-party app that QuickBooks offers.

Just because a check vendor says they are QB compatible does not mean 100% success. Ordering from a major retailer like Deluxe or Harland will guarantee success. As far as printing your name on the checks? Usually they are purchased pre-printed since the name has to, or should, match the account number on the bottom.

If the software allows printing of the name then you can order checks with no name. Printing check numbers is an option that can be turned on or off and when you print you will select the starting number of the check run.
