See attached the screenshot of the banner on Quickbooks today.  If our information is private, how do they know this???

Hi there, alex174.

I appreciate you for adding further details regarding your concern. I'll ensure to share details about the Reminder info that appears in the Report section. As well as how Intuit manages data security.

Notifications shown on the Reports page provide important information or give you a snapshot of your business to see your sales and expenses. With this, the message you're receiving reminds you that your expense is increasing this year compared to last year.

Additionally, you can click the Review your expenses button to see extra details. That way, you can check your expenses transaction and make it necessary changes if necessary.

On the other hand, we build privacy and security into everything we do. We depend on advanced, industry-recognized security and virus safeguards to keep your financial data private and protected. Also, we keep data on Intuit-managed systems. These are in your home country to satisfy data residency laws and data is stored in the cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This means your data is protected by multiple layers of network, storage, and physical access security.

Lastly, you may refer to this article on how running different reports in QuickBooks provides you with different aspects of your business like expenses and sales: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other questions about reminders or any message that appears in your QuickBooks Online account, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Keep safe, alex174.

This answer does not address my concern.  I obviously know my data. What concerns me is that quickbooks appears to be analyzing its users data if they are making statements about the users data such as the one above.  This indicates to me they are not keeping our data private. This is obviously a privacy concern.
