Inventory stock status by item shows inventory adjustments even though I had excluded it in the filter

Hi,

I need some advice how to setup the filter on the inventory stock status by item report.

I use this report with a filter for assembly items and exclude zero stock on hand to show me which assembly items I need to build.

The report worked fine till I added my inventory adjustments from the physical inventory.

Now it also shows the available items from the inventory adjustment, what I don't want.

I added the filter setting "Is Adjustment" set it to No (assuming this will exclude inventory adjustments) but I still see the very same details as before including the available items.

Has anybody an idea how to fix this?

Inventory stock status by item shows inventory adjustments even though I had excluded it in the filter

Thanks for posting in the Community, @gerdgoebel. Let me provide some insights about setting up a filter on the inventory stock status by item report.

Normally, filters work once you use them on your reports. That being said, inventory adjustments should be removed since you excluded this on the filter.

If this is not the case, make sure to update your software so you always have the latest features and fixes. Then let's use the verify and rebuild tool to identify the most commonly known data issues within a company file.

To proceed, here's how:

  1. Select Window, then click Close All.
  2. Choose File then Utilities
  3. Select Verify Data.
  4. Go back to File menu, choose Utilities.
  5. Click Rebuild Data.
  6. You will receive a warning message to backup your company file, press OK.
  7. Select where you want to save your backup, then select OK at the bottom of the QuickBooks Desktop Backup window.
  8. The Rebuild Data utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  9. Click OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.
