On Friday October 4th I was able to create auto PO's and when I tried on Monday the 7th the button was missing.
I have made sure I have the latest update and called the QuickBooks help center three times, but I can't get an answer as to why this has happened.
Anyone have any insight?

I have the same issue and help desk is not really helping
I am having the same issue and cannot get an answer
I am glad to hear I am not the only one. It is frustrating. I have to export the file to Excel and filter it by the order column to see what I need to order.
First they had me update from within quickbooks and that did not work then went to product page online like you are downloading program for first time underneath there is a web patch download did that and it works now. If you press F2 at the top of that page should be an R9-53 mine was 50 but if you get it updated to 53 then it will work
This is exactly what we've been looking for as we need this update. Question for download, what did you exactly download? We already have the version downloaded and our whole file is on our desktop for multi user. If we download the program again from the website what does it do to our current file? Could you provide the exact link or steps on how to get this done since they're not helpful in support?
The next update fixed this situation. Thank you to all who helped.
Had the issue before. Did the manual update and we got the button back. Now with R10_19 Button is gone again.
Not sure what is going on but does not seem Intuit can roll out one stable update.
I know it’s important for you to access all the features after the update, ChristoSlee. Allow me to connect you with our support team who can help investigate this matter further.

Quickbooks. You have been actively investigating this for a week now. How have you not fixed your bug?
Did you ever get your issue resolved?
@cbascle18 Well, you see, there are just so many steps that have to be taken.
First, they have to be notified that their product is broken. Well, broken in a new way. It's always broken somewhere.
Then, they have to hold a meeting deciding when they are going to meet to determine when they'll meet to determine who to assign to the job.
Then they have to break for lunch, probably at the local Mexican place, and that'll throw a wrench in the works; can't have the Meeting Deciders deciding meetings on bloated stomachs.
Then... well, you get the idea.
Isn't that the truth. My purchasing department has to work one PC that we fortunately did not update. However tomorrow it is going to force an update.
Seems like with the new way of doing updates there is not even a way to get back to the previous version. I have an update downloaded to the previous one but it needs the patch to -53. If I install that one and run the web patch as recommended earlier in the thread it brings it back to the current version. R9-53 did work, but I can't seem to get back to it.
For those that had this issue, it appears they fixed it with R10_23
Press F2 to see your version.
R9_50 the button was missing
R9_53 it returned
R10_19 it was missing again
appears R10_23 it has returned again.
going to Help --> Update Quickbooks Desktop -> Update Now --> "Get updates" button
should get you to R10_23 after a reboot if you're currently R10_19.

I've noticed you may need to do this multiple times, with multiple reboots to get it up to R10_23.
it is ridiculous that the QB support can not tell you how to fix this. QB forced the R10_19 update on me yesterday and we instantly saw the Create Auto PO button was missing. I called QB support and after an hour of going through preferences and settings they informed me that engineering is working on this and that all they can do now is add me to a list. I updated to R10_25 because of the last post in this forum and the button is back. That seems like a pretty simple thing for QB support to inform you of when you are having this problem. This is frustrating!!
I don't think Intuit tech support is allowed to use Google. Otherwise they would actually have solutions or be aware of issues. When I reported this being gone again, I had to refer the agent to this thread on their own support portal.
I only call them as a last resort just to feel better for all the $'s spent on the subscription. I never expect to get any resolution.
For 15 years now I have asked them to fix the column sizing issue that gets lost everytime you minimize / maximize the application when you have resized columns on a sheet like the Item List.
