Is anyone else missing the search field that is at the top of the Vendor list? Very helpful when you have many Vendors to look through.

Hey there, @bandrews1.

I can see how having access to your Vendor search field could help you really streamline your day-to-day tasks, so I'm determined to help you restore it. The missing feature may be due to outdated cache files stored in your web browser. QuickBooks Online collects these files so you don't have to load repetitive text and images every time a page is loaded, greatly increasing the software's performance.

These files can often become corrupted or outdated, which may be leading to the missing search field. Clearing these temporary files is a breeze, just follow the steps at the links below corresponding to the browser you use:

Clearing browser cache

Once you've cleared these files, close and reopen your browser, sign in to QuickBooks, and try accessing the vendor search bar again. We also offer an extensive guide on QBO's search functions that you may find helpful. Please keep me posted on whether or not this helps to resolve the issue. Thanks for coming to the Community, I look forward to hearing from you.

I have no search bar at all in my quickbooks. Other ppl in my company have their search bar but I cannot figure out how to get one on mine. I cleared my cache but it didn't help.

Let me provide additional steps so you can see the Search field on the Vendor list tab, Accountant123456.

You can access QuickBooks Online using other supported browsers and check the search field from there. Check out this link to know which browser you need: System requirements for QuickBooks Online, Accountant, and QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Also, you need to check if you have the same access as other users. It's important to know the level of permission you have on file. I'm adding this link for additional information: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online.

If the same issue persists on other browsers, please click the Reply button below and provide a screenshot of the missing search field. This will isolate and identify the main cause of the issue.

I'll keep this post while waiting for your response. Thank you and stay safe!
