Currently, the feature to customize the payment receipt email is still unavailable in QuickBooks. However, you can go to your Merchants account to check where and from whom the payment is coming from.

The feature to customize the template would be a great addition to the current features we have. I'll be sure to share this idea with our developers right away. For now, you can visit the QuickBooks Blog to check for new updates and features that we have.

Thanks for the reply. This seems like such a no-brainer. Who designed it with the expectation that (a) you would remember which invoice number is associated with which client and (b) clicking a bunch of times to find out is a good use of time?

Is there any movement on this? At minimum it would be great to have the Balance Due line actually show the remaining balance due on the receipt. This is quite confusing to my customers when they make a partial payment and the receipt shows a balance due of $0.00.
Is it at all possible to get this one piece updated soon, so it actually works?

I know you've spent a lot of time on this already. I see how important and useful this information on the payment receipt email. Showing the actual remaining balance to your customer helps them to be aware and not be confused about the balances that they need to pay soon.
For now, I cannot tell as to when our development team will be releasing an update for expanding options on payment receipts, especially including the actual balance due. I would still recommend checking our blog website to keep you up-to-date for the feature release.

Is there any movement on this? My company uses another credit card provider for our website payments and they issue an email receipt to me. This should NOT be that difficult to do.
