Hi there, @ShedTax.

Yes, and I'm here to help enter your expense account numbers in QuickBooks Online. You'll have to turn on the account numbers feature first in the Account and Settings. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Gear ⚙ icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. On the Chart of accounts section, click the pencil ✎ icon.
  4. Put a checkmark in the box beside Enable account numbers. If you'd like the account numbers to show on reports and transactions, put a checkmark in the box beside Show account numbers.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Then, Done.

Once done, you can now enter your account numbers. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select Batch edit in the Action column.
  3. Add your expense account numbers in the Number column.
  4. Click Save.

You can refer to the screenshots below for the detailed steps:

Also, to see your accounts’ numbers, go to the Chart of Accounts. Select the Gear icon at the top of the list in the Action column. Then, select Number.

As a future reference, you can also check out these articles to keep your chart of accounts organized.

That should do it, @ShedTax. Should you have other questions about QuickBooks Online, let me know by leaving a comment. I'm always here to help.
