Thank you for dropping your question here in Community, @Stephen84.

Since this feature is not available at the moment, consider checking third party applications.

Let me guide you how.

1. On the left navigation pane, select Apps.

2. You can search an app using the search bar or Browse Category drop down.

3. Select Track time.

You can choose the application that best suites for your business needs.

Also you can visit the intuit blog for latest feature updates.

I've got some steps that can help you track the time, Stephen84.

You can use the Single time activity option in the + New window, or go to the Time Activity section in your client's project.

To access the Single time activity, here's how:

  1. On the left panel, click the + New button.
  2. Select Single time activity.
  3. Choose the Date, Name, Cost rate(/hr), Customer/Project, Class and then enter the Time.
  4. You can also add a Description.
  5. Click Save and close.

For Time Activity in projects, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Projects on the left navigation menu.
  2. Select the project name, and then Add to project drop-down.
  3. Choose Time. This will route you to the Single time activity page.
  4. Enter the information and click Save and close.

For more information about time in projects, check out this article: Set up and create projects in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if you need anything else. I'd be glad to help you some more. Thanks.

Joseph A,

Sadly, you suggestion is like trying to stop a pipe leak by building the Hoover Dam.  A vast number of ProAdvisors operate by themselves working on multiple clients.  The features in those app (See where all your workers are at) is unfathomable over kill.  The original QB Pro times, that just let us click and move from one client to another with simple notes then import for invoicing - That's it.  I don't do projects, I don't pay hourly wages.  And for my clients, having some program generate and send invoices would damage my brand.

- For those with multiple employees - Joseph is correct.  For us independents, stay on Desktop 2021 and continue to us Pro Timer.  Yes, I had to downgrade to get back to something that worked.  Sad.
