Is there a way to mark an invoice paid without having to email it a customer in the mobile app?

Let me help you mark your invoice as paid without having to send it to your customer's email address, wils968325

If you have an existing invoice in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), you can edit your invoice first and then mark it as paid after editing the information of your customer.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Invoices menu located at the left navigation panel.
  2. Find the invoice that you want to edit.
  3. Under the Action column, click the Edit option.
  4. Press the Edit customer info located under the name of your customer.
  5. You can leave the Email field blank and then click Save
  6. You can either Subscribe to send or hit the dropdown button and choose Save
  7. Click the dropdown button and find the Mark as a paid option.

If you want to learn the basics of QBSE, you can view this material since it contains a series of information that can help you with your future transactions: Overview of QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have further concerns regarding invoices, please let us know in the comment section so that we can help you.

Thanks for the reply.

The instructions you recommend are not available in the Self-Employed mobile app.

Invoice options are very limited on mobile.

When creating a new customer, an email address has to be entered to continue.

Once the invoice is completed it can only be saved as a draft and can only be sent via email.

The only way to mark an invoice as paid is to log in to the web version of QBSE.

I would like to request more invoicing features for the QBSE mobile app.

Mark an invoice as paid.

Option to send an invoice via TEXT.

A partial payment option added.

Also an option to search invoices by customer name.

Thank you

Sorry, there is no 'Feedback' selection under the "Gear' icon on the web version of QBSE.

I appreciate you joining in the thread, @wils968325.

I'll ensure you can deliver your insights to our product engineers so they can include this in future product updates, and you'll be able to have all the options you need when managing customer invoices.

In QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE), users can send suggestions from the Assistant icon. However, the assistant feature on the web version is currently under maintenance.

In the meantime, you can submit your comments using the QBSE application. Let me guide you on how.

  1. Open the QBSE application.
  2. Tap on the Assistant icon at the bottom.
  3. Type feedback in the field.
  4. Choose Add a feature.
  5. Enter and send your product suggestions.

Moreover, consider scanning this material to help you organize your transactions: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have any further questions when sending your suggestions and managing your invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed, please don't hesitate to post them on this thread. We're always willing to help.
