Hi there, @lightsupseasonal.
Thanks for posting in the Community. I can help share some information about a report that shows if an invoice was viewed by the customer.
In QuickBooks Online, we don't have an available report yet to show the status of an invoice. However, you can view the lists of the statuses on the All Sales page of your account. From here, you can also print the details by clicking on the Printer Icon.
The invoice tracker shows you how your invoices are progressing, so you’ll know if you need to follow up with any customers to get paid. If the customer viewed your invoice, it will show as Open (Viewed).
Having the option to generate a report that shows if the invoice was viewed by your customer would be a great add-on to our features. I'll make sure to send a product suggestion to our Product Development Team. I'd also encourage sending your feedback to them by sending it directly on this link: http://feedback.qbo.intuit.com.
Let me know if you have additional questions about reports in QBO. I'm here to help however I can.
This is a feature that is desperately needed. As Quickbooks is used primarily by small businesses that have a lot of trouble being paid. I am going to court this week for a client FIFTY EIGHT times! I am printing it, screen by screen by simply using 'print screen'. Having a full report would be unbelievably helpful for me and many, many others.
Well... it's been more than a year now. Did QB ever get this feature built and added to their program? I really NEED this report of invoice activities.
Hello there, @Moldenboy.
Currently, we don't have a specific report to pull up when the customer viewed the invoices you sent to them. However, QuickBooks has an activity tracker that we can check the status of the invoice.
Here's how:
The button is highlighted in green when the invoice was viewed. It will show you the progress of the invoice as the system recognized that the customer had viewed it.
For future reference, read through this article: Email sales forms directly to your customers from QuickBooks Online. It will help you learn about how sales transactions send to customers.
Additionally, if you need to add or match your downloaded transactions with your invoices, please refer to this link for more details: Categorize and match online bank transactions.
Don't hesitate to drop a comment below if you have other questions. I'm always happy to help. Take care!
