It won’t allow me to save a new company name.

Changing a company name is my specialty, gabriellelangenb. I'm determined to help you save the changes you've made.

 

Did you encounter any error messages when saving your new company name? Adding additional details will help me provide accurate steps to resolve this. A screenshot would be a great help too.

 

In case your company is linked to e-services, you may need to turn this off before updating your legal business name. After updating the info, please turn it on again and send us a new authorization form.

 

Here's how to turn off the e-services feature:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and choose Payroll Settings.

  2. Select E-file and e-pay.
  3. Choose the option to Manually with paper coupons.
  4. Hit Next.

 

If you're not using any e-services feature, I'd suggest logging in to your QuickBooks Online account via a private window. This could be a browser-related issue. The stored cache can affect the performance of QuickBooks Online, which can cause unexpected behavior.

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts: 

 

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N 
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P 

 

Once signed, update the company name. If you're able to do so, let's clear the browser's cache. This removes its stored cache to ensure QuickBooks perform efficiently.

 

If private browsing doesn't work, I'd recommend using different browsers. They'll provide you the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.

It won’t allow me to save a new company name.

I am having the same issue.  How do I turn off e-services.  I have followed the instructions above and still having trouble.
