Logo is all black on my forms - how do I fix it?

Good day, rah.

Thanks for letting us know. Let me help get this sorted out so you can back to your business right away.

We haven't received any similar reports about the logo field is showing as black on the forms, and I appreciate you taking the time to report this issue. In this case, you'll need to process troubleshooting steps by changing the format of your logo from .jpg to .gif. Make sure to use Save as to create a new copy of the logo so you don't overwrite the original file.

You can check this article for the detailed steps on how to add, customize, and troubleshoot logo on sales forms.

If the same thing happens, I encourage you to contact our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They have additional tools to pull up your account and do a remote session to investigate this further.

You can contact our phone support through this link: Get help with QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know how it goes. Don't hesitate to click the Reply button if you have any other concerns about QBO Logo. Have a good one.

I found if you change the name of your logo to a .GIF the problem goes away. QBO documentation indicates JPG are okay, however, although they appear fine electronically, mine printed as a black box regardless of printer or settings.

Good day, @kpipp.

Thanks for joining the Community today. Allow me to assist you with getting past the logo issue that you have so you can print it usually.

Having the black logo printed on your sales form was caused by trying to use an invalid file type. When uploading a logo in QuickBooks Online, this must acquire the following requirements:

  • The logo is a .gif, .bmp, .png, .jpg, .jpe, or .jpeg file
  • File size is smaller than 10 MB
  • Have a bit depth (or color depth) of 24-bits or less
  • Uses the standard RGB color space (RGB)
  • The shape of the logo is square. Rectangles don't work.

For complete details about troubleshooting logo on sales forms in QuickBooks, please check out this article:

If the problem continues, I'd recommend giving our Customer Care Team a call. Agents have the necessary tools to work with you to find out what exactly may be causing this issue.

To do that:

  1. Visit this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Select the topic.
  3. Then get the Phone Number.

This should guide you in printing your logo correctly.
