Hi, I am having the same issue. I have tried to upload and save a logo in chrome and the mac desktop client. Neither works.
This is clearly a bug in your code and not a case of users not following the very clear and simple instructions. Advising us to use another browser is pathetic. FIX YOUR CODE PLEASE! We pay a lot of money for this service. It should work properly on any browser.
Hello there, dagadw.
I appreciate you for sharing your experience with us. I want this to be taken care of.
Since the troubleshooting steps didn't work, you'll need to contact our QuickBooks Care Support so they can open an investigation and will take a closer look as to why you're unable to save logo on your QuickBooks.
You can feel free to reach them out through the steps below:
Please let me know how it goes or if you have other questions about changing logo in QuickBooks. I'm always happy to assist.
QBO has a bug that isn't playing well with certain browser settings. I was using IE and had no ability to update my logo. Used Chrome- boom! it worked.
Having the exact same issue! I send out hundreds of invoices a month and having this type of thing happen within my first MONTH of using QB does not sit well considering the comparable costs of other software that can be used to do the same things QB does.
Frustrated because I've had a ticket open with customer support and they update it weekly and theres nothing new to do. Its absurd but clearly not something that's of much importance to them.
I too am having the same issue and it is VERY FRUSTRATING. It is a very busy time of year (income tax season) and to have no logo print on my invoices is unacceptable. I agree that I do not feel this issue is being prioritized by QBO. I was advised that I was going to be added to a case with the same issue and "kept in the loop" by QBO Engineering. It has been over a week now and I still have received no communications on where things stand on this issue.
In order to create a professional looking invoice I had to create a letterhead to print the invoices. This is fine when I deliver files but I have a number of clients requesting emailed invoices so now I have to print, scan, save as a .pdf and attach in an email instead of being able to email directly. I am wishing now that I never converted to QBO, never had these issues in the Desktop version.
PLEASE MAKE THIS A PRIORITY!!!
It's nice to have you as a part of the conversation, @OCi,
I appreciate you for putting your voice out and providing feedback about the issue. I can share some updates about being able to add logos on your invoices.
This problem has been reported to our Development Team and was tagged as an ongoing issue with QuickBooks Online. They are diligently working to implement a resolution for this invoicing hitch. They haven't published a turn around time on when this issue will be fixed.
While they continue to work on this, you can try uploading your logo again and see if it works for you. I'd also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support again for further updates in case you haven't received any notifications from us. Here's how to get our live support agents:
You can have them add you to the investigation number INV-29257 to get live email notifications when an update is available for this issue.
I appreciate your patience as we continue to research the root cause and implement a permanent fix. Should you need any help or have additional questions with QuickBooks, please let me know by clicking the Reply button below. I'll be around to end you a helping hand. Have a good one!
Thank you so much!! I had been trying different file types and sizes. I was using Microsoft edge. As soon as I switched to chrome, uploaded in seconds!!! Finally!
Thank you to all the people on this thread. Getting the company logo to save was driving me nuts and as it’s one of the early things you do in set up, I was not looking forward to what the rest of the QB experience would be like. After a couple of weeks reworking the logo and following the standard advice multiple times, I found this thread and used Firefox. It uploaded first time.
Add me to the investigation. This is ridiculous - We are all having the same issue. Fix It. or give us a credit until you do. This is not as advertised.

Hi there, dwa818924.
The issue about saving logo has already been resolved. Our engineers was able to found out that it was caused by unsupported file format created using Photoshop or Adobe projects (CYMK).
To upload the logo successfully, you will need to convert or create a new logo using RGB standards. You can also open the file using Microsoft Paint (or Preview on Mac) and save it as .jpg with a different file name.
Please see these articles on how to upload or convert file types:
I'll get back here in case you need more help.
Ditto...downloaded Firefox, worked fine. Doesn't mean Firefox solved it, it means a clean browser download free of cookies and cache data fixes the problem.
Rather than making us dig for the answer, why not just put these requirements on the page? Even better, maybe an error message that tells us what's wrong? Best yet, just fix it to support a variety of pictures. This isn't rocket science...but it is time you're wasting.
Hello @bobweishar,
I understand how you feel when something isn't working the way you need it to and the insights you've shared are all noted. Thus, I'll make sure to let our developers know about your requests.
If you haven't yet, let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps to resolve any issues you receive while browsing in QuickBooks Online.
To start with, let's begin by accessing your account in a new incognito or private window of your browser. This way, we can check if this error is related to your current browser or not. To do so:
Once completed, you can log back into your account and add a logo into your sales forms. If you can do so without any errors, you can clear your browser's cache to optimize it. Also, your browser can start from scratch and improve your QuickBooks Online browsing experience.
However, if you still received the same error message, let's switch and use a new browser application. Then, log back into your account and add a logo into your sales forms from there.
Additionally, you can also visit our QuickBooks Online Blog regularly. From there, you'll be updated with the new features and enhancements that our developers are currently working on.
Know that you can always visit our Help Articles page for QuickBooks Online in case you need some tips and related articles for your future tasks.
If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comment section down below. I'll be always around ready to help.
Hi There,
I appreciate the information provided, however, this is the same suggestion that I keep getting which is not useful at all. It has been determined that the issue with the Logo is the format change QBO made many months ago which limited the logo format to being "square" only. My logo is a rectangle and it has been determined this is the issue for many others experiencing the same problem. My frustration comes from the fact that when I initially changed to QBO, all worked perfectly...my logo appeared and printed on my invoices with no issues. At some point, there was a change on your side which changed the formatting to only accept square style logos. I have proven this fact with one of your support team members a few months ago. I cannot see why this is taking so long to resolve, simply change back to the format that was used a year ago. My issue has NOTHING to do with "browser" and "cache" issues. I actually worked with a support rep where I saved my logo as a square (completing distorts my logo so not an option to change), imported it into QBO and it worked fine. WHY WHY WHY can this not be resolved?? I am obviously not a programmer or a "techie" but why would you change this in the first place and why do you keep giving solutions that are not relevant? I am beyond frustrated with many of QBO's limitations but this issue is truly testing my commitment to keep using Intuit's products.
Please make this a priority to resolve!
Hi there, OCi.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and suggestions about the logo format in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I appreciate you for pointing out such details and reaching back to provide insights on how you'd like to expand the customization feature for logo on forms. I got your point and I'd like to pass through this idea to our developers for feature request consideration.
While we continue to work on improving QBO to meet our customer needs, I encourage you to visit our QuickBooks Blog. From there, we share recent happenings and future developments of QBO.
If you have other questions, feel free to let me know. I'm up to help. Have a good one.
We have a reported issue about not being able to add a logo, bobweishar,
Some customers try to click on add logo and the screen flashes then, nothing happens. If you experience the same behavior, then I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. We will add your company details to the list of affected users.
You can follow these steps to reach us:
Kindly post a reply here if you have any additional questions. Thanks.
LOL.
Hello again, bobweishar.
I've updated my answer above. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you.
As another data point, this issue is DEFINITELY not resolved on QuickBooks side. I established a new account today. Followed all the incredibly limiting (more on that in a second) restrictions that QBO has on logos. I made one that is square, PNG, RGB, no alpha channel, etc. It didn't work. Yes, I tried multiple browsers (Firefox and Chrome) multiple times, killed all cache/cookies/etc. It didn't work. This is an unresolved bug in QBO software and it should be fixed immediately. It is costing lots of (small) companies too much money in wasted time and the inability to properly brand their materials (i.e., with their logo).
Regarding the logo limitations, it is pretty ridiculous that only square logos are supported. A huge population of companies have established their brand/logo in a non-square format. I see no technical reason why a piece of web software in 2019 cannot properly handle a non-square image. Once the first bug (not being able to save the logo given all the limitations) is resolved, a second bug should be filed related to only supporting square logos.
Hi @tp2019,
I appreciate the amount of detail you have included in your post. I also understand how it feels when an app you use isn't working as expected.
Just like what my peer @RenjolynC stated above, we currently have an open investigation for this specific issue. If you haven't already, I suggest following the instructions she provided on how to contact our Technical Support team for assistance. They can add you to the list of our affected users, and with that, you'll receive notification emails whenever there's an update available.
As for the idea of QuickBooks Online being able to accept non-square logos, we have taken note of this idea.
If you have other questions, leave them below. I'll be sure to get back to you.
I tried all the browsers, incognito mode, everything! What finally worked is:
Settings (gear icon)
Click custom form styles
Click edit in the standard row
Click the + by the logo customization
Upload, save, done
and it worked!
Hope this works for everyone that's having trouble as well!
I just signed up today and using the Trial offer. Tried everything: Chrome, FireFox, Edge, browsers on my iPad, clearing cookies, cache, everything, spun new win 10 machine on azure, downloaded firefox there and tried : NOTHING worked!! Such POOR software and they want $70/month!!! I am glad I didnt pay for these half assed services. adding logo is the FIRST thing anyone does and if it doesnt work, I dont know what works in this!!
I am out!
Hello “Charies from QuickBooks Team,”
Do you realize that it’s been over a year since this thread was started, and do you realize that QuickBooks has allegedly reported the problem and started work tickets for the engineers *multiple times,* and you still have customers/businesses who are paying tons of money and still unable to upload their logo to their invoices? This is infuriating!! How can QuickBooks sit around collecting our money and not even make the simplest effort to solve a MAJOR problem!!
When opening an account, uploading your logo is the first thing you do! This item is of the absolute highest importance!! How do you not get that?!
How can QuickBooks string us along for over a year, claiming you are working on it, but not actually doing ANYTHING to fix it?!!! This should be a very simple, basic coding fix! This should take 24 hrs, maybe a few days, tops! Intuit is a Fortune 500 company with all digital products and tons of engineers. This is unacceptable. So constantly telling us to use another browser is a bulls**t way to kick the can down the road and just hope we give up. Seriously? Unresolved after a YEAR???? Unacceptable!!!!
