Lost Memorized and Favorite Reports after Desktop Update

Hello sf4915,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! I will be happy to assist you here. First, let's do some basic troubleshooting steps for your memorized reports. To begin, re-sort your Memorized Reports list. Kindly follow the steps provided below:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Choose Memorized Reports, then select Memorized Reports List.
  3. A pop-up window will appear. Click on the dropdown icon beside  Memorized Reports, then pick Re-sort List.
  4. Select OK when you get the prompt "Are you sure you want to return this list to its original order?".

After that, run the Rebuild Utility that supports the repair of the data damages in your company file.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File, then select Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data.
  3. Choose OK if you receive a warning message that states to back up your company file.
  4. Click OK when you get the notification Rebuild has completed.
  5. Run Verify Data to scan for remaining data impairment.

From there on, try accessing your memorized report, and if you still cannot gain access to it,  please let me know!

I will be looking forward to your response! See you later.

Lost Memorized and Favorite Reports after Desktop Update

Sorry it took me so long to test this.

I did the data rebuild and verify.  There were unfixed errors.

I can favorite and unfavorite memorized reports, but the highlighted heart icon seems to be the opposite color from what it should be.  The hearts on my favorite reports are grey and on my unfavorited reports the hearts show red.

I am still unable to run some memorized reports.

Thank you

Lost Memorized and Favorite Reports after Desktop Update

Thanks for following up with the Community, sf4915. I appreciate you performing SashaMC's recommended troubleshooting.

Since you're still unable to run some of your memorized reports, I'd recommend troubleshooting with the QuickBooks Tool Hub.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download our most recent version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Be sure to save your file somewhere it can easily be found.
  3. Open the QuickBooksToolHub.exe file.
  4. Follow your on-screen steps to install and agree to our terms and conditions.
  5. When your installation finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop screen to run the utility.

After opening your QuickBooks Tool Hub, you can its utilities to troubleshoot the company file and program. I'd recommend accessing your Company File Issues and Program Problems sections to use the available tools for troubleshooting. You can also utilize any other utilities available in your Tool Hub.

If you're still unable to run certain memorized reports after trying all troubleshooting processes, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a great Thursday!

Lost Memorized and Favorite Reports after Desktop Update

We don't want you to have this kind of experience, Pppcola. We can recreate your memorized and favorites reports. Let me share more information.

I appreciate you doing the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague but since the issue persists. I recommend contacting our support again, as they can review your account in a secure environment. Here's how:

  1. Go to your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click Get Help, then select QuickBooks Help/ Contact Us.
  3. Please share the issue or concern you need assistance with.
  4. Hit Contact Us to be connected with an expert. Please remember that you'll need to search for an article before you can see the option to ring us.

As a workaround, we can recreate the memorized reports instead so that you can run your financial data. Follow these steps how:

  1. On the Reports window, select Memorize.
  2. On the Memorize Report window, type in the name you want to assign the report.
  3. Select the Save in Memorized Report Group checkbox if you want to save the report on a specific report group.
  4. Select Share this report template with others. When you select this checkbox, your report template will be accessible to other QuickBooks users when they go to the Contributed tab in the Report Center.
  5. Hit OK.
