Join nowHello,
I have a client that is accrual basis but we've recently realized that his contractors are cash basis. He would like to move January to December, February to January and so on. What are the accounts to hit to make these changes?
Nick
Thanks for visiting the Community today, @ndl2485.
You don't need an account when switching contractors from cash to accrual accounting methods. You'll want to change the accounting method from your settings to reflect an accrual basis with these steps below:
Check out this article to get more ideas about the difference between Cash and Accrual basis for QuickBooks Online and how to change the method on a report: Choose between cash and accrual accounting methods in reports.
I'm always around to help you more if you have additional concerns about this process. Stay safe!
We can do that going forward but we need to make the adjustments for prior months.
