How do I return to a report after leaving the report for another area of the program?

Navigating within Quickbooks online

Returning to a report in your QuickBooks Online account only takes a few clicks, kmahon. Let me assist you with that.

If you leave the report to create a customer or vendor transaction, you can click the Save and close button to go back to the report. Otherwise, you'll have to go to the Report menu and search it again. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Type in the report's name in the search field, then click to open.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Select the correct date.
  5. Choose the other details you'd like to see.
  6. Once done, click on Run report.

I'd also suggest clicking the Save Customization button to keep the current customized settings. Once done, you can easily access it by going to the Custom reports tab. For more details about the process, please see this article: Memorize Reports in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, I've included this article that'll help you see which reports are available for your version of QuickBooks Online. This ensures you're able to get snapshots of different areas of your business: Reports Offered in Different Users.

I'm only a post away if you need assistance in managing or personalizing your reports, kmahon. It's my pleasure to help you out.
