Downloading an attachment in QuickBooks is very easy, Ivory.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) lets you download attachments to allow you for more organized record-keeping. To do this, you'll have to open one transaction at a time to download them. You can follow the steps below:
You can also go to the Attachment page to view all the attachments, however, you'll not be able to distinguish the specific attachment to download unless you'll have downloaded them. Here's how:
For your reference, you'll want to add and match bank transactions with what you've already entered in QuickBooks.

Hi,
this is really not helpful! as I stated I have thousands of expenses, it will take me a month to download them. I need them in less than a week.
Is there another way to do this?
Thanks for coming back, @Ivory. Downloading attachments in bulk is unavailable in QuickBooks at the moment. You'll have to do it one at a time as suggested by my peer.
As an additional reference, check out the Capture and categorize receipts and bills in the Receipts tab for more insights.
You'll also want to email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online in case you don't want to upload them. You can send those attachments to Quickbooks, and we'll extract them for you.
Feel free to message again if you have additional concerns. I'd be here to help.
